I'm Ellen, The Horse Pet & Livestock Sitter (EHPLS).  I'm a reliable, trustworthy pet, stable, and farm sitter proudly serving the Municipalities of East Hants, West Hants, and Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada.

 

I offer reliable, trustworthy, certified, and experienced drop-in and overnight and services for your home, property, pets, equines, and farm animals while you're away.

I’ve always loved animals and worked on farms or in stables most of my life.  I have decades of experience handling equines, dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, sheep, fish, goats, cattle, pigs, poultry, rodents, emus, llamas, and ... Well, you name it and I've probably taken care of it.  I’m actively involved in animal rescue with special interest in the plight of senior and hunting dogs.  Over the years, I’ve fostered many rescue dogs and take great pride in transitioning these sweet pooches to their "furever" homes where they get the love and affection they so deserve.

As an experienced stable and farm sitter, I understand how difficult it is to go away and leave your property, equines, and farm animals in the care of another person.  I also understand the stress of leaving your dog, cat or other house pet in an unfamiliar environment where they may become anxious or depressed.
